an update on life in Kaş
We arrived in Turkey earlier than expected, after leaving a not-so-great workaway in Albania. Though we had planned to come to Turkey later in April for a month-long workaway in Cappadocia, we ended up arriving to the city of Kaş at the end of March.

Finding Home in Ireland
Glendalough was our first workaway on this trip, and it set the pace in so many ways. We knew little about the hostel we’d be working at, aside from the fact that it had over 100 good reviews on workaway.

Chefchaouen: The Blue City
While the famous blue buildings are beautiful (and great for photos), we were honestly more impressed by the mountains towering over the city. Chefchaouen had the most impressive scenery we saw in Morocco, and if we did this trip again, we’d definitely spend more time here.

A Day in the Life Volunteering in Kaş
Volunteering gives us the chance to settle into a community and lifestyle for a few weeks or a month at a time. While we did have one bad experience, all of our other workaway placements have been great, and truly the only reason we’ve been able to travel as long as we have.

A Backpacker’s Guide to Getting Around Morocco
The biggest piece of advice I have is to let go of your expectations and just go with the flow. In Morocco, you should never be in a hurry, and if you are, be prepared to be disappointed.
